Lily came home from swimming the other day, exhausted, and said that she wanted a sugar cookie or a cinnamon roll and a story. And I said, "it sounds like you just need Nana." Yep. Sometimes we just need a Nana day.

A few months ago Daisy was struggling with Maggie and was sick and Dona was on her way and we had to talk her out of coming for a night just to help us like we were talking down a suicide jumper, it was not easy.
But if we would have really needed her she would have been there, she is amazing.
Yes..if ever I am in an ornery mood (did I say if? probably more likely when...) Shayne asks me if I have called my mom yet, if not he tells me I need to. That seems to always work.
